Engineered for industrial access, this metal safety gangway platform Revit family provides fall protection enclosures and integrated walkway rails. The assembly models an elevated industrial loading and access structure comprising a rigid walk platform flanked by upright safety posts. To one side, a curved tubular perimeter cage extends outward to provide perimeter fall protection, framed with multi-tier guardrails. Parallel tubular rails cap the opposite balustrade posts in a contrasting tone, alongside a cylindrical safety bumper or stop barrier mounted directly beneath the side framework. The primary structural components are depicted in a functional neutral grey finish, representing galvanized or painted structural steel framing and non-slip metal plank decking.
The download is a 737 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.
Designed for seamless integration as a Revit specialty equipment component, the family loads directly into architectural, structural, or MEP project models. Users can align the base to floor elevations, platforms, or catwalk level references in plan or 3D views. Material identity assignments allow easy reassignment of finishes across the tubular railings and primary deck structure for clash coordination, drawing schedules, and BIM clearance validation.
This model is ideal for chemical plants, oil and gas terminals, logistics facilities, bulk loading stations, and manufacturing warehouses. Specifiers routinely place this equipment in maintenance mezzanines, railcar loading bays, truck tanker loading platforms, and elevated pipeline crossing points. It coordinates cleanly alongside pipe racks, structural steel stairs, industrial catwalks, and storage tank assemblies during schematic facility layout, safety compliance audits, and detailed construction documentation phases.
