Moulded from durable green polymer, this compact solids interceptor Revit family provides realistic MEP coordination for commercial drainage layouts. The unit presents a rectangular moulded plastic tank housing engineered for high-capacity sediment and waste separation. Ribbed structural sidewalls feature reinforced chevron geometry, round knockout impressions, and a recessed identification panel. A flat, textured grey access cover sits flush across the top lip, held securely with perimeter latches. A circular inlet pipe stub projects from the upper side face, providing an accurate interface for gravity drainage pipe connections in plumbing design layouts.
The download is a 492 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.
Load this RFA component directly into your MEP project environment to coordinate below-slab or under-sink clearance. Route incoming and outgoing waste piping directly to the connection points to maintain continuous system logic. Visualise physical clearances in section and 3D views to verify service access for routine basket cleanout and lid removal during operational maintenance.
Engineered for commercial kitchens, food prep areas, veterinary facilities, and light industrial workshops, this sediment trap captures debris before it enters municipal grease interceptors or main sewer lines. It coordinates smoothly alongside commercial sinks, pre-rinse assemblies, floor drains, and waste interceptors. Public health engineers and plumbing designers routinely specify this equipment across restaurant fit-outs, hospitality projects, and culinary education spaces.
