About this asset

This circular recessed ground floor light is a Revit family featuring a clean metal housing and glass lens for exterior illumination. Designed for flush-mounted installation, this circular ground light features a minimalist aesthetic with a brushed metal bezel and a high-strength glass diffuser. Its compact, low-profile form factor ensures it sits level with the finished floor surface, minimizing trip hazards while maintaining a sleek, unobtrusive appearance. The internal housing is robust, suitable for outdoor environments where moisture and debris resistance are essential for long-term durability and performance in exterior landscape lighting designs.

The download is a 440 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

In Revit, this family is typically placed as a face-based component on floor slabs or exterior paving surfaces. Users can adjust the light source intensity and colour temperature within the family type parameters to suit specific night-time rendering requirements. It is recommended to use an IES profile to accurately simulate the beam spread and light distribution against adjacent building facades. Ensure the host element is thick enough to accommodate the recessed depth of the fixture to avoid potential geometry interference in the project model.

This fixture is ideal for architectural highlighting in residential gardens, hospitality terraces, and public realm projects. It pairs effectively with natural stone, concrete, or timber decking, providing dramatic uplighting effects that enhance building facades and landscape features. Architects and lighting designers frequently specify these for pathways, entrance areas, and wall-washing applications to improve safety and aesthetics after dark.
