About this asset

Industrial green metal oil drum chair Revit family features an upcycled steel barrel profile with an integrated grid backrest and circular seat. Fabricated from a standard cylindrical barrel form, this upcycled oil drum chair incorporates swept cutaway sides that transition into a raised backrest. A geometric grid of square punch-outs accents the upper back, introducing visual lightness and ventilation. The lower base retains its distinct rolled structural ribs, finished in a dark green gloss coat. A recessed circular seat pad upholstered in neutral light grey rests snugly within the cut profile, providing ergonomic cushioning while maintaining the piece's raw, utilitarian aesthetic.

The download is a 604 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

Designed as a native Revit furniture component (.rfa), this family inserts easily onto level-based floor plans without requiring hosted geometry. Users can adjust display detail levels for plan views and elevations, assign schedule parameters for FF&E schedules, and swap project material assets for the drum body and seat cushion surfaces to match bespoke colour specifications across concept and construction documentation stages.

Suited for themed hospitality fit-outs, industrial lofts, informal breakout areas, and outdoor cafe terraces, this piece introduces character to contemporary retail spaces. It pairs effectively with reclaimed timber dining tables, raw concrete surfaces, and exposed conduit or ductwork. Specifiers looking for repurposed drum seating, custom barrel armchairs, metal cafe furniture, or casual commercial dining chairs will find this family an effective asset for interior scheme visualisation and schematic layouts.
