About this asset

This orange rubber basketball Revit family provides a standard athletic prop for interior visualisations and site modelling. This basketball features the classic textured orange rubber surface with characteristic deep black channels. The geometry represents a standard regulation-sized ball, capturing the pebbled grip pattern typical of synthetic outdoor or indoor basketballs. Its proportions are consistent with professional sports equipment, making it a recognisable accessory for various interior or exterior settings. The model is presented as a single, self-contained unit, suitable for placement within gym environments, recreational facilities, or residential storage areas where a touch of activity or lifestyle realism is required for a project presentation.

The download is a 317 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

In Revit, this family is best utilised as a generic model component for dressing interior scenes or sports-related spaces. Users should load the RFA file into their project and place it as a free-standing asset. Because it is a simple geometry, it can be easily rotated or placed on surfaces using the align tool. Ensure the object is placed on a dedicated workset to manage visibility across different project views and phases efficiently during the rendering process.

This asset is primarily intended for use in architectural visualisations where a lived-in, active atmosphere is desired. It is well-suited for school gymnasiums, university sports centres, recreational clubhouses, or casual home gaming rooms. Professionals should use this when populating scenes that require authentic lifestyle props to convey the function of a space. It pairs effectively with other sports equipment or storage solutions in both new construction and renovation projects, helping to provide scale and human context to large, open-plan athletic areas.
