About this asset

This Blue Plastic Blu-Ray DVD Case is a Revit family component ideal for populating media units and shelving in residential projects. This simple, functional 3D representation of a standard Blu-ray case features the iconic blue plastic housing associated with the format. The model maintains the characteristic slim, rectangular profile with a clear front panel area intended for cover art. It is designed as a clean, low-polygon asset, ensuring it does not unnecessarily bloat project file sizes. The geometry includes the distinct top banner with the Blu-ray logo, providing a recognisable detail for interior visualisations. Its proportions are accurate to industry standards, making it a reliable choice for staging entertainment areas and home cinemas.

The download is a 399 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

As a Revit family, this asset is best utilised for interior staging and documentation of joinery. Users should load the component into their project and place it onto shelving units, TV consoles, or media cabinets using the standard component placement tool. It can be easily duplicated and rotated to create clusters of media cases, adding a layer of lived-in realism to rendered scenes. Avoid over-populating large shelves to maintain model performance and efficient viewport navigation.

This asset belongs in residential design, particularly when visualising living rooms, dedicated home cinemas, or home offices. It is a useful tool for interior designers and visualisers aiming to provide a realistic, lived-in aesthetic for client presentations. When paired with custom joinery or bespoke media walls, it helps communicate the scale and functionality of storage spaces.
