About this asset

This SketchUp model features a set of contemporary bi-fold windows with metal frames, available in black and gold finishes. This collection includes eight distinct configurations of bi-fold windows, demonstrating various opening states from fully closed to partially and fully retracted. The frames are constructed from slimline metal profiles, providing a clean, minimalist aesthetic suitable for modern fenestration. Each unit features clear glass glazing with horizontal mullion detailing. The set includes both black and gold metallic finishes, allowing for versatility in interior and exterior design schemes. The geometry is clean and logically grouped, facilitating easy manipulation of the individual panels for specific project requirements and architectural window schedules.

The download is a 28.3 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 8 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, these window units are organised as components, making it straightforward to swap between the closed and open states by replacing instances. Designers can scale the components to fit specific wall opening dimensions, though care should be taken to maintain the proportions of the frame profiles. The materials are applied to the frame and glass surfaces, allowing for quick adjustments to the metal finish or glass transparency settings within the material editor.

These bi-fold windows are ideal for residential projects, particularly for kitchens, dining areas, or home offices where indoor-outdoor connectivity is desired. They perform well in contemporary architectural designs, providing a sleek, functional solution for ventilation and natural light. Professionals searching for fenestration solutions for renovation or new build projects will find these useful for creating realistic elevations and perspective views. They pair effectively with minimalist interior styles and can be used in both urban apartment and suburban house developments.
