Yellow Ceiling Mounted Electrical Retractable Cable Reel

Ceiling-mounted electrical retractable cable reel Revit family for power distribution in industrial and workshop environments. This industrial-grade retractable cable reel features a robust circular housing finished in a high-visibility yellow, contrasted by a black central drum. The unit is suspended from a grey metal bracket designed for secure ceiling mounting, allowing for efficient vertical cable management. A red electrical cord extends from the base, terminating in a standard power connector. The geometry is clean and functional, prioritising clear silhouettes for MEP coordination. This component is essential for maintaining tidy workspaces by keeping power leads elevated when not in use, preventing floor-level trip hazards in busy production areas.

The download is a 655 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

As a ceiling-hosted Revit family, this component snaps directly to suspended ceiling grids or structural soffits. Professionals should utilise the standard MEP connection points to integrate the reel into electrical systems. Adjusting the vertical drop length can be managed through instance parameters if configured, ensuring the connector sits at the required ergonomic height. Ensure the family is placed on the appropriate MEP sub-category layer to maintain visibility control within complex ceiling plans and reflected ceiling plan views.
