Glazed Outswing French Door with Sidelite – Kolbe Ultra Series

A glazed French double door with left sidelite, this exterior Revit family unit features divided lites and an accessible low-profile sill profile. The assembly comprises a three-panel fenestration arrangement, integrating an outswing double-leaf patio door paired alongside a matching fixed sidelite on the left flank. Each door leaf and sidelite panel features expansive multi-pane glazing partitioned by traditional muntin grilles in an eighteen-lite grid pattern. Finished in crisp off-white framing, the stiles and rails exhibit solid joinery with raised bottom kick rails and a slender exterior casing. A low-profile threshold spans the base to ensure barrier-free transition across exterior envelope junctions, maintaining uniform sightlines across both operating leaves and the adjacent stationary glazing panel.

The download is a 4.1 MB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

Designed as a wall-hosted door component for Autodesk Revit, this family loads directly into standard wall assemblies and cuts opening voids automatically. Users can place the door assembly into exterior cavity walls, adjust host wall thickness alignment, and coordinate rough opening clearances. Subcategory settings enable precise control over 2D swing representations and 3D visual visibility across coarse, medium, and fine detail levels.

Primarily intended for residential architecture, boutique hospitality schemes, and terrace transitions, this glazed entryway connects interior living spaces or dining rooms directly to exterior patios, courtyards, and verandas. The multi-lite aesthetic pairs seamlessly with classic, transitional, and colonial facades. Architects and specifiers commonly incorporate this unit into barrier-free entry schedules, exterior fenestration packages, and building elevation drawings requiring traditional outswing French door configurations with accessible thresholds.
