This WI Casework Tag is a Revit annotation family designed for clear, structured identification of cabinetry in construction sets. The tag features a structured grid layout comprising five distinct fields arranged across two rows. The upper register includes a primary three-digit identifier field paired with a secondary single-character field. The lower register is subdivided into three equal segments, each designed to house alphanumeric data. The linework is clean and standard, ensuring high legibility even at reduced scales on standard A1 or A3 sheets. This annotation component is built to align with typical architectural documentation standards, providing a professional and consistent look for cabinetry schedules, interior elevations, and floor plan callouts.
The download is a 133 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.
To implement this annotation, load the RFA file into your project template and assign it to the Casework category via the Tag by Category tool. The labels are mapped to project parameters, allowing for automated data population from your casework schedules. Ensure that the text type and line weights are consistent with your office-wide CAD standards before finalising documentation. The tag is designed for efficient placement in plan views and elevation sheets where cabinetry identification is required.
This tag is essential for interior designers and architects working on complex joinery packages in residential or commercial projects. It is specifically useful for tagging custom kitchen units, built-in wardrobes, and office storage systems. By standardising the way casework is referenced across your drawing set, it improves coordination between the floor plans and the detailed joinery sections. Professionals will find this useful during the construction documentation stage when clear communication of cabinet types and specifications is critical for the contractor.
