About this asset

This rustic SketchUp model features a natural wood pedestal plant stand topped with a grey ceramic pot containing a lush fern. The stand is carved from a solid timber log, showcasing a raw, weathered texture with visible grain and organic, dark brown tones. Its base is defined by a distinctive tri-legged cutout design, providing a stable yet primitive aesthetic. Resting atop this pedestal is a low-profile, dark grey circular ceramic pot. The vessel is filled with soil, moss, and decorative stones, housing a delicate, sprawling fern with fine foliage. The entire arrangement balances the heavy, tactile nature of the timber base with the soft, intricate greenery, creating a grounded, naturalistic focal point.

The download is a 29.8 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When integrating this model into a SketchUp project, use the component's base point for precise placement on finished floor surfaces. The geometry is grouped to allow for easy scaling or material adjustments to the wood grain. For rendering, ensure the textures are mapped correctly to maintain the weathered appearance of the timber. The plant component can be separated if needed to populate other planters or to swap the vegetation for different species while keeping the rustic stand as a consistent design element.

This piece is well-suited for interior design projects requiring organic, wabi-sabi, or rustic accents. It functions effectively as a decorative feature in residential entryways, living rooms, or hotel lobbies where a touch of nature is desired. Professionals often search for such items when styling corners, filling alcoves, or adding warmth to minimalist spaces. It pairs seamlessly with stone flooring, neutral wall finishes, and other natural textures, effectively bridging the gap between raw, untreated materials and refined, contemporary indoor living environments.
