About this asset

This potted Strelitzia Nicolai plant model for SketchUp features broad, deep green leaves housed in a textured white ceramic pot. This model depicts a Strelitzia Nicolai, commonly known as a giant white bird of paradise, captured in a youthful, bushy state. The plant features several large, lanceolate leaves with distinct central veins, rendered with natural variations in the green foliage. The leaves are clustered at the base, emerging from a compact soil bed contained within a simple, subtly textured white ceramic vessel. The proportions are balanced for interior use, providing a lush, organic silhouette that adds vertical interest and softness to architectural spaces without overwhelming the surrounding furniture or circulation paths.

The download is a 25.7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When working in SketchUp, import this component directly into your scene using the component browser or by dragging the file into your workspace. Ensure the plant is placed on a level surface layer to avoid floating geometry. If the file size impacts viewport performance, consider toggling the visibility of the foliage layers or utilizing a proxy if your render engine supports it. The material textures can be adjusted within the native material editor to suit specific project lighting conditions.

This plant is ideal for residential interior projects, such as living rooms, entrance halls, or bedrooms where a touch of greenery is required. It also functions well in commercial settings, including hotel lobbies, reception areas, and café interiors, serving as a soft partition or a decorative focal point. Designers often pair this model with modern or minimalist furniture to provide a natural contrast to clean lines.
