About this asset

This modern SketchUp model features a robust concrete rectangular planter paired with a natural timber slat screen and string lights. The assembly comprises a long, rectangular planter box finished in exposed aggregate concrete, providing a heavy, grounded base. Rising from the rear is a vertical screen constructed from horizontal timber slats, creating a semi-transparent privacy barrier or architectural backdrop. The planter is filled with a series of low-profile, rounded boxwood-style shrubs that offer a consistent green texture. A simple string of festoon-style lights is suspended across the front of the timber screen, adding a layer of ambient detail to the overall composition. This unit functions as a cohesive landscape element for defined outdoor zones.

The download is a 13.7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is best utilised as a component. Users should place it on a dedicated layer for site furniture to manage file complexity. The materials are applied as standard textures, allowing for easy adjustment of the concrete grain or wood stain to match specific project palettes. Because the lighting and plants are grouped, the model can be scaled or rotated easily to fit various site dimensions, provided the user respects the proportions of the timber slats and planter base.

This planter is well-suited for contemporary landscape design, particularly in urban residential courtyards, restaurant terraces, or office breakout spaces. It serves effectively as a spatial divider or a decorative edge for patios. Professionals searching for site furnishings, outdoor privacy screens, or green buffers will find this asset useful for both schematic design and final render presentation. It pairs seamlessly with modern outdoor furniture and paving materials, helping to define circulation paths or create intimate seating areas within larger, open-plan exterior environments.
