About this asset

This Japanese garden landscape scene for 3ds Max features a curated arrangement of bonsai, bamboo, and stone elements on a gravel bed. The composition centres on a mature, textured-bark bonsai housed in a circular stone planter, surrounded by a variety of Japanese garden elements. Tall, slender bamboo stalks provide vertical interest, contrasted by low-lying ground cover and manicured spherical shrubs. A large, naturalistic boulder anchors the foreground, complemented by smaller river stones and a traditional stone lantern. The entire arrangement is set within a defined rectangular frame, featuring a light-toned gravel surface that mimics traditional raked sand. The materials are focused on organic textures, including detailed foliage, weathered stone surfaces, and natural wood-toned bamboo stalks.

The download is a 108 MB file containing the native 3ds Max (.max) scene. Open it in 3ds Max; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Users can merge this scene directly into larger 3ds Max projects to provide immediate environmental context. Because the scene is pre-composed, it is best utilised as a background element or a focal point in exterior visualisations. Ensure the scene scale is checked against your project units upon import. Materials are ready for rendering, but users should verify that texture paths remain linked. The scene is ideal for quick population of courtyards, terraces, or garden areas in architectural renders.
