About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max lounge chair features a folded, geometric fabric design in grey and white, complete with a matching ottoman. The lounge chair presents a distinctive, continuous form that mimics a folded plane, creating an integrated seat and backrest profile. Upholstered in a textured fabric featuring a subtle grey and white geometric pattern, the piece emphasizes soft edges and a sculptural silhouette. It is accompanied by a matching, low-profile ottoman that mirrors the chair's angular construction and material finish. The design relies on its unique, fluid geometry rather than traditional legs or framing, providing a low-slung, relaxed seating posture suitable for modern interior settings that prioritise artistic and functional furniture pieces.

The download is a 38.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Within 3ds Max, this model is managed as an editable mesh or poly object, allowing for adjustments to the smoothing groups or subdivision levels if required for close-up renders. The fabric material is mapped with a tiling texture, which can be easily swapped or scaled via the material editor to suit specific scene lighting. Users should ensure the pivot point is correctly placed at the base of the chair for easy positioning on floor planes within an architectural interior scene.

This lounge chair is ideal for contemporary living rooms, reading nooks, or boutique hotel lobbies where a statement piece is required. It pairs well with minimalist rugs and low-profile side tables, creating a cohesive relaxation zone. Designers often search for this type of sculptural seating when looking for accent furniture that bridges the gap between art and utility. Use it in residential projects to provide a focal point in open-plan spaces, or in hospitality areas to offer comfortable, visually engaging guest seating.
