About this asset

This SketchUp model features a grey African elephant family set comprising two adult elephants and one calf in standing poses. The model depicts an African elephant family group, consisting of two adult elephants and a smaller juvenile calf. The forms capture the distinct anatomy of the species, including large ears, curved tusks, and textured trunks. Proportions are consistent with typical biological scaling for a cohesive group composition. The surfaces exhibit a neutral, matte grey finish, suitable for integration into various environmental lighting scenarios. The figures are presented in natural standing postures, with subtle variations in orientation to enhance the realism of the set when placed within a larger 3D scene.

The download is a 1.7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 3 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model functions as a grouped asset. Professionals should import the file as a component to maintain scene efficiency. Once placed, the elephants can be scaled to match specific project requirements or rotated to create dynamic arrangements. Given the file size, it is recommended to manage these entities within a dedicated layer or tag to toggle their visibility, ensuring smooth viewport navigation while working on larger landscape or master-planning projects.

This elephant set is intended for architectural visualisations, landscape design, and master-planning projects requiring naturalistic entourage. It is particularly useful for exterior renderings of zoo designs, wildlife sanctuaries, or expansive park environments where fauna adds scale and narrative interest. Designers can use these models to populate outdoor site plans or site-specific environmental studies. The neutral aesthetic allows the animals to sit naturally within diverse vegetation palettes and terrain types, providing a sense of life to the broader project context.
