About this asset

This traditional armchair, modelled in 3ds Max, features a dark wood frame with beige fabric upholstery and a contrasting mustard cushion. Defined by its classic silhouette, this armchair features a dark stained wooden frame with intricate, carved detailing along the legs and apron. The backrest and seat are upholstered in a neutral, light beige fabric, providing a soft contrast to the deep tones of the wood. Brass nailhead trim lines the perimeter of the seat and back, adding a refined, decorative touch. The piece includes a single, square-shaped mustard-coloured accent cushion, which sits squarely against the backrest. Its proportions are standard for a lounge chair, offering a comfortable seat depth and supportive upright posture.

When integrating this 3ds Max asset, ensure the model is scaled appropriately to the scene units before applying materials. Users should verify that the pivot point is located at the base of the legs for easy placement on floor surfaces. The fabric and wood textures should be managed via the material editor, allowing for adjustments to reflection and glossiness parameters to suit the specific lighting conditions of the interior environment. Proper grouping of the frame and cushion components is recommended for streamlined scene management.

This armchair is well-suited for traditional or transitional interior design projects, particularly in living rooms, studies, or hotel reading nooks. It functions effectively as a standalone accent piece or as part of a larger seating arrangement when paired with complementary sofas. Designers often search for this type of furniture when looking to add a sense of history or formality to a space. It works particularly well in classic residential settings, boutique hospitality lobbies, or quiet library corners where a refined aesthetic is required.
