About this asset

This mid-century eight-light chandelier 3ds Max model features radiating curved arms and sculptural shades in a dark blackened metal finish. Suspended from a slim vertical downrod and circular ceiling canopy, the luminaire features eight slender radiating arms branching from a central cylindrical hub. Alternating arms hold sculptural, organic-form metal shades, with four angled upwards housing exposed light sources and four directed downwards with enclosed tapered profiles. The entire fixture is rendered in a patinated dark bronze or blackened steel finish, exhibiting subtle specular highlights across its curved surfaces. Delicate joints connect each asymmetric shade to its respective rod, creating a dynamic, kinetic silhouette suited for contemporary and mid-century modern aesthetic schemes.

The download is an 11.5 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

The 3ds Max model comes configured as an overhead pendant fixture ready for merging into interior visualisations. Users can adjust the overall drop height by editing the top suspension rod geometry or canopy placement to match specific finished ceiling heights. Built-in light sources or self-illuminated emissive bulb elements can be linked to photometric lights or native renderer luminaires to establish realistic warm interior illumination.

This statement luminaire works effectively as a focal piece suspended above large dining tables, living room seating arrangements, and kitchen islands within residential interiors. It equally complements boutique hospitality environments such as hotel lobbies, cocktail lounges, and executive meeting rooms. Interior designers and archviz artists can pair this sculptural chandelier with warm timber cabinetry, marble accents, and minimalist furnishings across contemporary, mid-century, and eclectic interior design presentations.
