About this asset

Crafted with organic textures, this woven rattan pendant lights SketchUp model set features diverse artisanal hanging luminaires for warm interior schemes. This curated lighting collection gathers an extensive range of suspended luminaire designs crafted primarily from woven natural fibres, cane, and openwork rattan mesh. Variations include domed shades, tiered bell forms, cylindrical lanterns, and delicate teardrop silhouettes suspended by slim electrical cords and metal canopies. Several units feature woven chevron patterns, frayed fringe borders, and patterned fabric trim inserts that enhance ambient diffusion. Hardware accents appear in understated metallic fixings, maintaining emphasis on earthy textures, light wood tones, and natural straw colouring.

The download is a 415 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, each luminaire can be placed as an independent component onto ceiling planes or grouped to create custom staggered clusters. Modelled suspension cables allow easy vertical adjustment using standard stretch or scale tools to suit specific floor-to-ceiling heights. Applying self-illuminated omni or mesh light emitters within the interior shade cavities ensures realistic warmth, glow, and shadow throw across surrounding surfaces during render engine passes.

Suited to residential dining rooms, kitchen islands, living spaces, and covered veranda settings, these fixtures integrate seamlessly into bohemian, Scandinavian, japandi, and tropical interior aesthetics. They also serve commercial hospitality schemes such as boutique hotel lounges, eco-resort guestrooms, beach clubs, and artisan cafes seeking soft decorative illumination. Designers specifying pendant luminaires or woven wicker shades will find versatile silhouettes for concept development and realistic archviz presentations.
