Wabi-Sabi Grey Stone and Wood Kitchen Scene

This wabi-sabi style kitchen scene for 3ds Max features a heavy stone island, exposed timber beams, and terracotta pendant lighting. This comprehensive kitchen scene captures a wabi-sabi aesthetic through raw, tactile materiality. The central island features a massive, rough-hewn stone base topped with a dark, reclaimed wood slab. Matching timber ceiling beams add structural depth, while the cabinetry is finished in a muted charcoal grey. A series of slender, organic-shaped terracotta pendants hang above the island, creating a rhythmic focal point. The backdrop includes ceramic-tiled walls and a brick-walled courtyard area, complete with decorative pottery, wooden stools, and indoor greenery, all contributing to an intentionally aged and serene atmosphere.

The download is a 1113 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) scene, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

As a complete 3ds Max interior scene, this file is best utilised as a base for architectural visualisation or as a reference for material layering. Users should manage the scene through the layer manager to toggle between structural elements and decorative assets. The lighting setup relies on a combination of natural light from the courtyard and internal pendant emitters, which can be adjusted for specific exposure needs. Materials are mapped using standard coordinates, allowing for easy replacement or modification of the stone and timber textures.
