Tropical Rattan and Black Metal Ceiling Fan

This tropical-style ceiling fan SketchUp model features five woven rattan blades and a matte black housing for coastal interiors. This five-blade ceiling fan balances organic textures with a modern, structured motor housing. The blades are crafted with a distinct woven rattan finish, providing a warm, natural aesthetic that contrasts against the central matte black metal motor unit. A slender downrod connects the assembly to the ceiling mounting plate, maintaining a clean, minimalist silhouette. The blade profile is slightly tapered, mimicking a leaf-like shape that enhances its tropical appeal. This combination of materials makes it a versatile choice for interiors where a relaxed, airy atmosphere is required, blending seamlessly with both contemporary and bohemian design schemes.

The download is a 1.8 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this component is structured for easy insertion into ceiling planes. Users should ensure the downrod is adjusted to the appropriate height for the specific room volume. The rattan texture is applied as a mapping, allowing for quick adjustments to scale or colour tone if needed. The model remains lightweight, making it suitable for placement in large residential or hospitality projects without significantly impacting viewport performance. Always check the axis alignment to ensure the fan rotates correctly if animation is required.
