Modern Grey and Wood Kitchen Unit with Island

This modern 3ds Max kitchen scene features an L-shaped layout with an island, combining grey wood-grain cabinetry with natural wood accents. The assembly comprises a floor-to-ceiling unit housing a stainless steel refrigerator, paired with dark grey horizontal-grain cabinetry. A central island mirrors the dark finish, topped with a stone surface that matches the backsplash. Upper cabinets in a lighter natural wood tone provide contrast and extra storage. The configuration includes integrated appliances, a sleek sink, and under-cabinet task lighting. The design prioritises clean lines and a balanced material palette, making it suitable for contemporary open-plan interiors where joinery needs to be both functional and aesthetically cohesive within a larger living space.

The download is a 52.2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) scene, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this kitchen is organised into logical layers for easy manipulation of the island, cabinetry, and appliances. Users should check the texture paths upon merging to ensure the wood grain and stone maps render correctly. The lighting setup is modular, allowing for adjustments to the integrated cabinet lights to suit the scene exposure. Scale the entire assembly to fit specific floor plans before applying custom materials to the countertop if a different stone finish is required.

Designed for residential kitchen visualisations, this unit fits well into modern apartment layouts or open-plan family homes. Architects and interior designers can use this as a base for custom joinery specifications or as a high-quality background asset in architectural renders. It pairs effectively with contemporary dining sets and open-plan living room furniture.
