About this asset

This industrial 3ds Max model features a washbasin integrated into a charcoal metal oil drum, complete with exposed copper pipework. This utilitarian washbasin repurposes a standard industrial oil drum as its primary structure. The drum is finished in a matte charcoal tone, showcasing subtle ribbing and authentic wear marks consistent with reclaimed industrial hardware. A stainless steel sink basin is recessed into the top surface. The plumbing fixture consists of exposed copper piping, rising vertically from the drum surface, ending in a simple gooseneck spout. Distinct red and blue circular valve handles are mounted at the base of the pipe assembly to denote hot and cold water supplies, reinforcing the raw, functional aesthetic.

The download is a 6.3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is structured with distinct objects for the drum, basin, and copper pipe assembly, allowing for easy material adjustment or individual scaling. Users should ensure the pivot point is set to the base for precise floor-level placement. The copper pipe and metal drum textures are mapped to standard geometry; applying custom environment maps or HDRI lighting will enhance the reflective properties of the metallic surfaces. The file is ready for insertion into scenes requiring a gritty, reclaimed industrial design language.

Ideal for themed commercial environments, such as urban cafes, bars, or retail showrooms, this washbasin serves as a focal point in industrial-style restrooms. It fits well within loft apartment renovations or creative office spaces where a raw, upcycled aesthetic is desired. Designers might pair this with exposed brick walls, concrete flooring, or vintage lighting to complete the look.
