At my studio in Frederiksberg, I spend half my time cataloging layers of peeling paint on buildings from the 70s and the other half arguing about why ductwork shouldn't be visible from the street. I approach historic preservation not by stripping it back to a museum-grade generic, but by keeping what holds physical and cultural memory.
