About this asset

This contemporary grey kitchen island for SketchUp features a rounded, minimalist form with an integrated stainless steel sink. The island presents a sleek, monochromatic aesthetic defined by its soft, rounded corners and handleless cabinet fronts. Its compact footprint makes it an efficient solution for smaller kitchen layouts or open-plan living areas. The surface incorporates a flush-mounted sink with a minimalist faucet, maintaining a seamless profile across the countertop. The base is finished in a matte grey, providing a neutral anchor for the space. This model is delivered as a single, cohesive unit, ready for integration into a broader kitchen assembly, and includes the sink hardware and faucet as part of the geometry.

The download is a 105 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is structured with clean, manageable geometry that allows for easy placement and scaling. Users should check the component axes and layer organisation upon import to ensure seamless integration into existing kitchen plans. The material mapping is straightforward, allowing for quick adjustments to the matte finish or the sink metal textures. For optimal rendering results, ensure the normals are oriented correctly and apply appropriate reflection settings to the sink surfaces to reflect the surrounding kitchen environment accurately.

Ideal for modern residential kitchen designs, this island serves as a functional focal point for both cooking and casual dining. It pairs effectively with contemporary seating, such as the sculptural chairs shown, and works well in open-concept floor plans where the kitchen flows into the living space.
