About this asset

This classic 3ds Max bathtub features a gold leaf exterior finish and a matching floor-mounted brass faucet set for luxury interiors. This freestanding clawfoot bathtub showcases a refined classic silhouette with a distinct high-back profile. The exterior is finished in a distressed gold leaf texture, providing a rich, opulent aesthetic that contrasts with the smooth white interior basin. It is supported by four ornate, shell-motif feet crafted in a matching metallic tone. The assembly includes a dedicated floor-mounted brass faucet system with a traditional telephone-style handheld shower attachment. The integration of the plumbing fixtures directly alongside the tub creates a cohesive, period-inspired look suitable for high-end bathroom environments.

The download is a 31.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is structured as a single assembly for easy placement into bathroom scenes. Users should verify the pivot point at the base of the feet for precise floor alignment. The metallic materials are mapped to utilise standard reflection and roughness channels, allowing for adjustments to the gold leaf sheen. When setting up the scene, ensure the faucet plumbing is correctly aligned with the floor plane to avoid intersection issues during final rendering.

Ideal for luxury residential master suites, boutique hotels, and period-style renovation projects, this bathtub serves as a dramatic focal point in a bathroom layout. It pairs effectively with marble flooring, wainscoting, and traditional wall-mounted sconces. Designers often search for this asset when specifying high-end sanitaryware for heritage-inspired interiors or eclectic, maximalist schemes. It is particularly effective for creating an atmosphere of indulgence in spa-like bathroom designs where a statement piece is required to define the space.
