Modern Dark Wood and Marble Living Room Scene

This modern living room scene, rendered in 3ds Max, features a sophisticated dark palette with herringbone timber flooring. Defined by a high-contrast material palette, this interior scene balances warm timber tones with cool stone surfaces. A prominent media wall serves as the focal point, integrating a television, open shelving, and a digital piano. The floor is laid in a classic herringbone pattern, complemented by a large, light-grey area rug. Furniture includes a low-profile sofa, a substantial marble-topped coffee table, and a leather lounge chair. Recessed ceiling tracks provide integrated lighting, while sheer curtains soften the natural light entering from the adjacent window, creating a serene, cohesive atmosphere suitable for high-end residential projects.

Utilising this 3ds Max scene requires careful management of the existing lighting and material setup. Professionals should inspect the layer structure to isolate individual assets for potential reuse in other project files. Adjusting the texture maps on the marble and wood surfaces allows for customisation to meet specific design requirements. Ensure all proxy objects are correctly linked before rendering, and consider re-mapping the HDRI environment to align the scene’s ambient illumination with the intended time of day or project-specific lighting conditions.

Ideal for high-end residential developments, luxury apartment marketing, or hospitality design, this scene provides a ready-to-use template for contemporary living spaces. It is particularly effective for visualising high-contrast, moody interiors where materiality is key. Designers can use this as a base for customising furniture layouts or testing material combinations in a realistic context. It pairs well with minimalist decor and architectural lighting packages, and is frequently searched for by professionals seeking high-quality, pre-assembled interior environments for rapid visualisation workflows.
