About this asset

This contemporary black fabric floor lounge chair, modelled for 3ds Max, features a low-profile design complete with two accent cushions. This floor-seated lounge chair offers a relaxed, informal aesthetic suitable for modern living spaces. The piece is upholstered in a matte black fabric, with a soft, rounded silhouette that sits directly on the floor. It includes two decorative cushions: one square black cushion and one smaller rectangular white cushion, providing a monochromatic contrast. The construction suggests a foam-filled core with gathered fabric detailing at the edges, creating a casual, plush appearance. Its compact, armless design makes it a versatile seating option for rooms where a traditional chair would feel too formal or bulky.

The download is a 32.6 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Within 3ds Max, this model is organised into logical layers for easy selection. The fabric textures are mapped with appropriate tiling, allowing for adjustments to the weave or colour scale. Users should check the pivot point at the base to ensure accurate placement on floor planes. Given the soft, organic form, it is recommended to apply a turbosmooth modifier if closer shots are required, though the base mesh is sufficient for most mid-range interior visualisations and scene population tasks.

Ideal for casual reading nooks, minimalist living rooms, or media rooms, this floor chair adds a relaxed element to residential interiors. It works well when paired with low-profile coffee tables or as part of a larger, modular seating arrangement. Design professionals might search for this asset when specifying furniture for informal break-out areas, studio apartments, or children's dens. Its neutral palette and simple geometry allow it to integrate seamlessly into various contemporary and wabi-sabi style interior design projects.
