Japanese Tea Room Interior Scene – Variant 18

This Japanese tea room interior scene for SketchUp features a minimalist aesthetic with a seamless connection to a private garden. Defined by a serene, minimalist approach, this interior scene centres on a low-profile wooden tea table paired with three circular floor cushions. The flooring consists of dark-toned timber planks, anchored by a textured grey area rug. A full-height glass wall provides an uninterrupted view into a landscaped rock garden, integrating natural elements like stone, moss, and ornamental trees into the living space. The composition emphasises clean lines, balanced proportions, and a restrained palette, creating a tranquil atmosphere suitable for contemplation. Every element is carefully arranged to maintain a harmonious flow between the interior and the exterior landscape.

The download is a 85.4 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Utilise this scene as a foundational reference for high-end residential or hospitality projects requiring a zen-inspired aesthetic. Within SketchUp, the geometry is organised into layers, allowing for the isolation of the tea furniture or the adjustment of the garden elements. Users can manipulate the lighting environment by modifying the existing sun settings or integrating an HDRI to control the natural light filtering through the glazing. The textures are mapped for efficient rendering, providing a solid starting point for further scene development and material refinement.
