Japanese Tea Room Interior Scene in Grey

This Japanese tea room interior scene is a comprehensive SketchUp model featuring a tatami platform, stone garden, and minimalist tea table. Centred on a raised tatami platform, this tea room interior features a low-profile tea table supported by textured stone bases. The space is anchored by a rough-hewn stone feature wall, contrasting with the soft, woven texture of the flooring. A vertical timber screen provides subtle spatial division, while a potted indoor tree adds a natural element. The composition is completed by a traditional hanging scroll and a raked sand garden with stone pavers, creating a serene, balanced atmosphere. Every element is carefully arranged to maintain a minimalist aesthetic while incorporating authentic, tactile material finishes throughout.

The download is a 154 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

As a complete interior scene in SketchUp, this file is structured for immediate rendering or further environmental development. Users can leverage the existing geometry to understand scale and spatial flow or deconstruct the model to extract specific components like the tea table or stone elements. Texture mapping is pre-applied, allowing for quick adjustments to material properties or lighting environments within your preferred render engine. Ensure all layers are organised to maintain control over the vegetation, furniture, and architectural elements during your scene refinement process.
