Contemporary Open-Plan Living Room and Dining Scene

This contemporary open-plan living room and dining scene for SketchUp features a curated selection of wooden furniture and vivid blue accent seating. This composed interior scene integrates a formal dining area with a relaxed living space. The dining zone includes bright blue plastic chairs paired with a matching table, set against a dark, illuminated glass-fronted shelving unit. The living area features a traditional slatted wooden bench, a low-profile coffee table with turned legs, and a small rustic stool. A woven rattan pouf and decorative cushions add texture to the floor, while the walls are finished with classic moulding panels. The overall aesthetic balances dark wood tones with sharp blue accents and soft, ambient lighting.

The download is a 404 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Professionals can utilize this SketchUp model as a foundational template for interior visualization. The file is structured to allow for easy manipulation of individual components, including the furniture assets and lighting fixtures. Users can adjust textures or swap out materials within the native interface to suit specific project requirements. Due to the pre-configured nature of the scene, it is suitable for rapid prototyping or as a base for custom rendering workflows within compatible plugins.

This scene is appropriate for residential design projects, particularly for open-plan apartment layouts or multi-functional living spaces. It serves as a useful reference for architects and interior designers exploring furniture placement, material contrast, and lighting schemes. The asset is well-suited for early-stage design presentations where a furnished environment is required to communicate scale and atmosphere. It pairs effectively with modern or transitional design vocabularies and can be adapted for various residential renovation or new-build interior proposals.
