Contemporary Earth-Tone Open-Plan Living Room Scene

This contemporary living room scene for SketchUp features a double-height layout, a central spiral staircase, and a curated earth-tone furniture arrangement. Defined by a sophisticated, warm palette, this double-height living room scene integrates a mezzanine level and a prominent spiral staircase. The furniture arrangement centres on a large, low-profile modular sofa in light grey fabric, paired with deep brown accent cushions. A minimalist circular coffee table sits centrally, while two leather-upholstered lounge chairs provide additional seating near a recessed linear fireplace. A floor-to-ceiling bookshelf occupies the main wall, adding verticality and texture. Large-scale indoor plants and a stone-coloured bust sculpture provide curated decorative accents, all set against a neutral, textural backdrop that emphasises the architectural volume of the space.

The download is a 161 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Designed for rapid architectural visualisation, this scene is organised into logical layers for easy management within SketchUp. Users can adjust the camera perspective to capture the double-height volume or focus on the furniture clusters. Materials are pre-assigned, allowing for quick texture mapping and refinement. The geometry is grouped by object type, enabling designers to swap out individual pieces or modify the layout while maintaining the overall spatial integrity of the room. Lighting is pre-configured to simulate natural light and warm ambient fireplace glow.
