About this asset

This bohemian-style hanging swing chair for 3ds Max features a distressed white rattan frame suspended by durable woven rope. Constructed with a lightweight yet sturdy rattan frame, this hanging chair presents a classic teardrop profile common in coastal and bohemian interior design. The structure is finished in a weathered white paint, revealing subtle textures of the underlying natural material. Horizontal and vertical rattan slats form the curved backrest and seating area, while braided rope detailing secures the frame at the suspension point and along the armrests. This piece offers an airy, open aesthetic, making it an ideal choice for adding a relaxed, organic element to living spaces or covered outdoor areas.

The download is a 38.2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To integrate this asset into your 3ds Max scene, merge the model into your project file and verify the pivot point at the top suspension loop for accurate placement. Apply a high-quality environment map to capture the subtle reflections on the painted rattan surface. If adjusting the scale, ensure the proportions remain consistent with standard seating heights to maintain realism. The model is organised with logical layer naming, allowing for easy material adjustments or modifications to the rope suspension system as required by your specific project.

This hanging chair is well-suited for relaxed residential interiors, including sunrooms, reading nooks, or master bedrooms, as well as boutique hospitality projects like hotel balconies or coastal resort lounges. It pairs effectively with natural linen textiles, jute rugs, and potted tropical greenery to enhance a casual, layered aesthetic.
