About this asset

These white linen floor-length curtains with a minimalist rod are rendered in SketchUp, featuring soft, natural folds and a light texture. This window treatment set consists of a pair of floor-length curtains suspended from a simple, cylindrical metal rod. The fabric features a visible linen weave with a semi-sheer quality, allowing for soft light diffusion. The drapery is modelled with natural, organic folds that suggest a realistic hang, providing a sense of depth and weight to the textile. The rod includes minimal end caps, maintaining a clean, unobtrusive profile. The light, neutral white tone makes this asset highly versatile for various interior styles, from contemporary apartments to relaxed, airy residential spaces.

The download is a 38 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this component is best managed by placing the rod at the desired height above the window frame or ceiling line. Given the geometry of the folds, ensure the model is placed on a dedicated layer for easy toggling during heavy rendering tasks. Users can adjust the overall width by scaling the group along the horizontal axis or by manipulating the individual curtain panels if they are grouped separately. Applying custom material overrides allows for quick colour or transparency adjustments to suit specific lighting requirements.

These curtains are ideal for residential projects, particularly in living rooms, bedrooms, or dining areas where a soft, breathable aesthetic is required. They pair well with minimalist interior designs or scandinavian-inspired schemes. Professionals searching for window dressings, sheer drapery, or soft window treatments will find this asset useful for staging architectural visualisations. Whether used in high-end hospitality suites or casual home interiors, these curtains add necessary softness to hard-edged 3D scenes, effectively bridging the gap between structural elements and furniture.
