About this asset

This contemporary SketchUp model features a dual-layer fabric curtain set with a white sheer and charcoal blackout panels. The assembly comprises a full-width white sheer curtain backdrop paired with two heavy charcoal-coloured side panels. The design incorporates realistic vertical pleating throughout the fabric, suggesting a natural drape. Each charcoal panel is gathered at the mid-height with a matching tie-back, creating a structured, formal appearance. The proportions are balanced, providing a clean, layered aesthetic suitable for floor-to-ceiling window treatments. The material finish suggests a soft, matte textile, with subtle light-catching folds that provide visual depth and realism when integrated into an interior scene, ensuring a sophisticated, finished look for any window.

The download is a 9 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Users should scale the model to match the specific window width and floor-to-ceiling height of their project. Given the layered nature of the curtains, applying materials to the separate layers allows for individual control over transparency and bump mapping. Ensure the object is placed on a dedicated layer for window treatments to facilitate easier visibility toggling during the modelling process, especially when managing complex interior lighting scenarios.

This curtain model is designed for residential and hospitality projects, particularly in living rooms, master bedrooms, and hotel suites where a layered window treatment is required. It pairs effectively with modern interior styles, providing a soft contrast against hard surfaces like timber or stone. Professionals searching for elegant window dressing solutions or high-quality textile assets for interior visualisations will find this model versatile for both day and night scene configurations, adding a layer of domestic realism to architectural renders.
