About this asset

A wabi-sabi ceramic vase with dried poppy stems and stacked books, provided as a 3ds Max model for detailed interior styling. This decorative composition features a small, dark brown ceramic vase with a textured, ribbed surface and a single side handle. It is arranged with a cluster of dried poppy seed heads and long, slender grass-like stems, creating an organic silhouette. The vessel rests atop a pair of hardback books, adding height and a sense of lived-in character to the arrangement. The muted, natural colour palette emphasises the material qualities of the aged ceramic and the brittle, sun-bleached appearance of the dried botanical elements, making it suitable for minimalist or rustic interior scenes.

The download is a 22 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised to allow for easy placement within a scene. Users can merge the object as a single group or ungroup components to adjust the positioning of the books or the floral arrangement individually. Materials are set up for standard rendering workflows, utilising texture maps to define the subtle imperfections of the ceramic surface. Ensure the pivot point is at the base of the books for efficient snapping to surfaces like console tables, shelves, or coffee tables.

Ideal for residential interior design, this set adds authentic detail to living room shelving, bedside tables, or entryway consoles. It functions effectively in hospitality environments such as boutique hotel lobbies or quiet reading corners in cafes. The piece pairs well with natural wood surfaces, linen textiles, and other organic decor items. Professionals looking for tabletop styling assets, wabi-sabi accessories, or rustic interior details will find this composition a versatile addition to their libraries for creating realistic, lived-in environments in architectural visualisations.
