About this asset

This 3ds Max model of a vintage gramophone features a large wooden horn and an ornate base, ideal for detailed period-inspired interior scenes. This gramophone features a classic design with an oversized, fluted horn finished in a textured, natural-wood tone. The base is hexagonal and constructed from dark-stained wood, incorporating intricate carved relief panels on each face. A chrome-finished tone arm and needle assembly sit atop the unit, positioned over a black vinyl record. The side of the base includes a manual crank handle with a wooden knob for a realistic aesthetic. Its proportions are consistent with early 20th-century phonograph models, providing a high level of historical detail for period-appropriate visualisations and cinematic setups.

The download is a 29.6 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised with logical material IDs, allowing for easy adjustment of the wood and metal finishes. The geometry is clean, making it suitable for close-up shots or background placement in larger rooms. Users should ensure the pivot point is correctly aligned with the base for easy placement on surfaces. Texture maps for the wood grain and metallic elements should be mapped using standard UV workflows to maintain the intended wear and vintage appearance of the object.
