Traditional Wooden Altar Cabinet with Ornate Screens

This traditional wooden altar cabinet and screen set for SketchUp features intricate carved detailing and a classic natural wood finish. This traditional altar cabinet features a robust, rectangular base with raised panel doors and central circular medallions. The unit is framed by two tall, intricate laser-cut wooden screens that provide a sense of enclosure and privacy. The design is finished with a small ceiling-mounted panel that mirrors the decorative motif of the screens. The wood grain is visible throughout, providing a natural and warm aesthetic. Included are several miniature ceramic vessels and decorative elements placed atop the cabinet surface, completing the authentic look required for a ceremonial or spiritual interior setting.

The download is a 19 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is organised into logical groups, allowing for easy placement and adjustment of the individual screen components. Users can scale the height of the vertical panels to suit specific ceiling heights or adjust the material mapping on the timber surfaces to match project-specific finishes. The included decorative accessories are separate components, enabling quick removal or replacement for customisation. Ensure the model is placed on a level plane to maintain the vertical alignment of the screen elements.

Ideal for residential projects requiring dedicated spiritual or ceremonial areas, this altar cabinet fits well within traditional or oriental-inspired interior designs. It serves as a focal point in living rooms or dedicated prayer rooms. Professionals can use this asset when detailing high-end homes or cultural spaces where a sense of heritage and precision is required. It pairs effectively with minimalist wooden furniture or soft, ambient lighting to create a calm, respectful atmosphere in a home office, bedroom, or living area.
