Traditional Walnut Longcase Grandfather Clock

This traditional longcase grandfather clock for SketchUp features a rich walnut finish, glass-panelled housing, and a classic dial. Standing as a quintessential piece of traditional horology, this longcase clock is constructed from deep walnut-toned timber. The design incorporates a swan-neck pediment at the crown, flanking turned pillars that frame the upper dial and the lower glazed cabinet. A white clock face displays Roman numerals, while the lower section reveals a pendulum and weights suspended within the glass-fronted case. The base is finished with subtle carved detailing, providing a sturdy foundation. Every element reflects a classic aesthetic, suitable for formal interior compositions where heritage-inspired furniture pieces are required to ground the space.

The download is a 44.5 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, this model functions as a single component, allowing for easy placement and orientation within a interior scene. The geometry is organised into logical groups, separating the glass casing from the internal pendulum and weights for potential animation or customisation. Users should ensure the model is scaled correctly relative to the room height upon insertion. Applying high-resolution wood grain textures to the timber surfaces and adjusting the transparency of the glass material will provide the most realistic results during final rendering.
