About this asset

This traditional armchair is a 3ds Max model featuring a dark wood frame, olive green seat upholstery, and a floral-patterned backrest. The armchair exhibits a classic silhouette defined by a dark-stained timber frame with subtle fluting on the legs and arm supports. The seat is upholstered in a solid, muted olive-green fabric, providing a clean contrast to the backrest, which is finished in a delicate floral print on a light off-white background. Included is a square scatter cushion featuring a detailed bird and branch motif in soft natural tones. The proportions are compact and upright, typical of traditional accent seating, making it suitable for formal living areas, reading nooks, or boutique hotel lobbies.

The download is an 11.3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised into logical layers for the frame and individual upholstery components, allowing for easy material assignment or texture replacement. Users should check the UV mapping on the floral fabric to ensure pattern continuity across the backrest. The model is scaled to standard real-world dimensions, making it straightforward to merge into existing interior scenes. Lighting setups should focus on highlighting the contrast between the dark wood finish and the lighter fabric textures, perhaps using a soft area light.

This piece works well in residential projects that require a touch of traditional character, such as a formal study or a master bedroom suite. It pairs effectively with dark wood side tables and neutral-toned rugs. Designers searching for a classic reading chair or a statement piece with a vintage feel will find this model useful. It fits seamlessly into projects aiming for a cottage-core or classic heritage aesthetic, providing a focal point that is both functional and decorative in a variety of interior settings.
