About this asset

This traditional brown wood lattice ceiling panel, provided as a SketchUp model, features a detailed square frame with a geometric diamond-patterned grid. This square decorative ceiling panel features a classic lattice design, defined by a series of intersecting diagonal members that create a repeating diamond grid. The entire assembly is enclosed within a clean, stepped border frame, providing a structured look suitable for coffered ceiling applications. The finish is a uniform warm brown, suggesting a natural timber construction. The geometry is clean and precise, with well-defined edges on the internal muntins and the outer perimeter, making it ideal for creating repetitive modular ceiling patterns in interior architectural visualisations or detailed renovation studies.

The download is an 11.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this component is best utilised by defining it as a persistent component or group. Users can easily array the panel across a ceiling plane to create larger grid installations. The model geometry is clean, allowing for quick material overrides or texture mapping if a specific wood grain or alternative finish is required. Ensure the component axes are set correctly at the corner or centre for efficient snapping when building out a full ceiling grid layout.

This panel is suited for high-end residential interiors, boutique hospitality settings, and traditional office boardrooms where a coffered or textured ceiling finish is desired. It works well in projects requiring a sense of craftsmanship and historical detail, such as library renovations or formal dining room designs. Architects and interior designers often search for this type of asset when detailing decorative ceilings or adding depth to overhead surfaces in 3D renders, pairing it with crown moulding or integrated perimeter lighting.
