About this asset

This double-layer fabric curtain model for SketchUp features a teal patterned overlay and simple white base drapes with tie-backs. This window treatment set consists of a dual-layer arrangement designed to add depth and texture to interior visualisations. The inner layer is a plain, neutral white fabric with soft, vertical folds that provide a clean, minimalist backdrop. The outer layer features a pair of teal-coloured, patterned curtains styled with gathered tie-backs that pull the fabric toward the sides. The geometry captures natural-looking drapes and folds, suggesting a heavy, high-quality textile. The overall composition is balanced, offering a classic aesthetic suitable for various room styles without appearing overly ornate or dated.

The download is a 111 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To use this model in SketchUp, import the component into your scene and scale it to match your specific window frame dimensions. Ensure the axes are aligned correctly at the base for easy placement. You can adjust the material settings within the native editor to control the opacity and reflection of the fabric textures. For more realistic lighting, consider applying a two-sided material to the curtain faces to simulate the way light passes through different fabric densities during rendering.

These curtains are ideal for residential projects, specifically living rooms, master bedrooms, or formal dining areas where a layered window treatment is desired. They pair well with contemporary furniture pieces and can be used in both professional archviz and interior design concept work. Architects and designers searching for window dressings, drapes, or interior soft furnishings will find this asset useful for adding realism to interior scenes, helping to soften hard architectural lines and create a more lived-in, welcoming atmosphere.
