About this asset

This modern silver metal refractor telescope 3ds Max model features a detailed tripod mount, ideal for high-end interior visualisations. The assembly comprises a primary optical tube in a metallic finish, supported by an adjustable three-legged tripod stand. It features a secondary finder scope mounted to the top, along with detailed adjustment knobs and a central accessory tray for stability. The construction uses a mix of reflective metallic surfaces and contrasting black components, reflecting the aesthetic of hobbyist astronomical equipment. Proportionally, the model captures the lightweight, utilitarian look of a standard refractor telescope, providing a realistic silhouette for interior scenes that require a touch of intellectual or scientific character in a study or living area.

The download is a 36.3 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this asset is typically handled as a single group or component for ease of placement within a scene. Users can adjust the rotation of the optical tube and the tripod height to suit specific camera angles. Since the model relies on clean geometric forms, applying standard metallic and plastic materials via the material editor will yield effective results. Ensure the pivot point is set to the base of the tripod for straightforward floor-level placement in your project file.

This telescope serves as an excellent decorative element for residential studies, home libraries, or sophisticated living room arrangements. Professionals often use this asset to add a sense of personality or specific hobby-related detail to high-end residential visualisations or staging projects. Its presence helps define a space as a place for intellectual pursuit, making it a valuable addition to any library or study-focused interior design.
