About this asset

This SketchUp set features four distinct Scandinavian-style garden swing benches crafted from natural wood with grey textile cushions. This collection comprises four variations of an outdoor swing bench, each defined by a lightweight, minimalist timber frame with A-frame legs. The designs range from simple slatted bench seats suspended by chains or ropes to more robust models featuring integrated overhead canopies. The natural timber finish provides a light, airy aesthetic, complemented by understated grey seat cushions that add comfort and contrast. Each unit is structurally distinct, offering options for different patio sizes and functional needs, ranging from open-back designs to models with solid roof structures for shade.

The download is an 18.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 4 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate these models into a SketchUp scene, import the component collection and explode the group to access individual bench units. Use the scale tool to adjust the overall dimensions to fit specific site plans, ensuring the swing radius remains clear of nearby obstacles. Materials are applied as standard textures; these can be swapped or modified via the material editor to match project-specific colour palettes or to simulate weathered timber finishes for more realistic outdoor visualisations.

These swing benches are ideal for residential garden design, terrace layouts, and communal outdoor spaces in multi-family developments. They serve as focal points for relaxation zones, pairing effectively with decking, gravel paths, or lush landscaping. Professionals should search for these items when specifying outdoor furniture for Scandinavian or modern minimalist projects, particularly during the concept and design development stages where casual, inviting exterior seating is required to enhance the usability of a patio or garden area.
