About this asset

This Scandinavian-style armchair, provided as a 3ds Max model, features a natural wood frame and a comfortable grey fabric seat. This armchair features a light-toned natural wood frame with distinctively tapered legs and a raked backrest profile. The structure includes a slatted seat base that supports a two-part cushioned system. The backrest cushion is tall and slightly padded, while the seat cushion is quilted for added comfort. The armrests are smoothly integrated into the frame, with a gentle curve at the top edge. The overall proportions suggest a relaxed, low-slung seating position, making it a versatile piece for various interior styles that prioritise natural materials and clean, functional lines.

The download is a 5.2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised with logical layering, allowing for easy separation of the wooden frame and the fabric cushions. Users should apply their preferred material shaders to the base geometry to match specific project lighting conditions. The cushions are modelled with soft, realistic folds, so ensure the displacement or bump maps are correctly mapped if further refinement is required. The object is scaled to standard dimensions, making it straightforward to insert directly into a scene and position within a room layout.

This armchair is ideal for residential living rooms, reading nooks, or hotel lobby lounge areas where a warm, organic aesthetic is desired. It pairs effectively with minimalist coffee tables, textured wool rugs, and floor lamps. Professionals searching for timber-framed seating, light wood lounge chairs, or comfortable accent chairs will find this asset fits well into contemporary or mid-century inspired interior design schemes. It is suitable for both high-end residential projects and boutique commercial spaces requiring a touch of comfort and refined, understated craftsmanship.
