About this asset

This Scandinavian-style light wood armchair with grey fabric upholstery is a SketchUp model featuring a clean, minimalist frame. Defined by its honest construction, this armchair features a light-toned natural wood frame with exposed joinery and flat, tapered armrests. The seat and backrest are fitted with simple, rectangular cushions upholstered in a textured, light grey fabric. The proportions are compact yet comfortable, with a slightly reclined backrest and a low seat height typical of mid-century inspired Scandinavian design. The frame is structurally straightforward, utilizing square-profile legs and rails to create an airy, open aesthetic that avoids visual clutter, making it suitable for a wide variety of contemporary interior design schemes.

The download is a 13.6 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is managed as a single component, allowing for easy placement and scaling within your scenes. The geometry is clean, with distinct material slots for the wood frame and fabric cushions, facilitating quick texture adjustments or material swaps via the materials tray. For high-quality visualisations, users should ensure the model is correctly oriented on the floor plane and consider applying a subtle bevel to the edges if close-up camera angles are required for your final render output.

This armchair is ideal for residential living rooms, reading nooks, or modern office lounge areas where a light, approachable aesthetic is desired. It pairs well with low-profile coffee tables, minimalist side tables, or as a standalone accent piece in a bedroom. Professionals searching for versatile lounge seating will find this piece effective for both domestic project mood boards and commercial hospitality fit-outs, providing a neutral yet characterful seating solution that integrates seamlessly into a range of soft, contemporary interior palettes and styles.
