About this asset

This Scandinavian-style grey fabric armchair is a SketchUp model featuring a light timber frame and a patterned scatter cushion. This armchair features a clean, minimalist aesthetic defined by its exposed light timber frame. The structure includes slender, tapered legs and curved armrests that provide a fluid, organic transition from the base to the backrest. The seat and back are upholstered in a textured, neutral grey fabric, offering a soft contrast to the warm, natural wood grain. A single, patterned scatter cushion is included, adding a decorative touch to the simple, ergonomic form. The proportions are compact, making this piece suitable for tight corners or as part of a larger seating arrangement.

The download is a 10.6 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is organised into logical components for easy manipulation. Users can apply custom fabric textures to the upholstery groups or adjust the timber material finish using the native material editor. The geometry is clean, allowing for efficient placement within larger interior scenes without excessive overhead. When integrating, ensure the model is placed on a dedicated layer for easy visibility toggling, and adjust the axis if necessary to align the chair with floor plans or specific furniture layouts.

This armchair is ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or modern office breakout spaces where a touch of comfort is required. It pairs well with light-toned oak coffee tables, wool rugs, and neutral wall palettes. Architects and interior designers often search for this type of accent seating when specifying furniture for Scandinavian or Japandi-inspired interiors. Its versatile, understated design makes it a reliable asset for both high-end residential projects and commercial waiting areas that demand a welcoming, contemporary atmosphere.
