About this asset

This Scandinavian lounge chair and side table set for 3ds Max features a curved plywood shell with cream fabric upholstery. The lounge chair features a molded plywood shell with a distinctive wing-like silhouette, finished in a natural wood veneer. Its seat and backrest are fitted with cream-coloured fabric cushions, providing a soft contrast to the rigid frame. Accompanying the chair is a minimalist square side table, supported by a slender four-point metal base. The table surface is clean and flat, designed for small decorative items or books. This set presents a balanced composition of organic curves and sharp geometric lines, suitable for contemporary interior arrangements where lightness and material honesty are desired.

The download is a 3.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model holding 2 separate objects, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this set is organised with logical layer naming for easy selection of the chair and table components. Users should ensure the pivot points are correctly placed at the base of each object for efficient placement within a scene. Materials are applied using standard slots, allowing for quick adjustments to the fabric texture or wood grain scale. When merging into a larger project, check the unit scale to ensure compatibility with your existing interior models and lighting setup.

This lounge chair and table set is ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, and quiet reading corners in modern offices. The compact footprint makes it particularly effective in smaller floor plans or as a secondary seating group in a master bedroom suite. Designers often pair this piece with textured area rugs, floor lamps, or indoor plants to enhance a Scandinavian or Japandi aesthetic. It serves as a sophisticated accent piece in professional visualisations focusing on mid-century modern or contemporary interior design.
