About this asset

This contemporary double-layer curtain for SketchUp features sage green outer drapes paired with sheer white inner panels for versatility. This window treatment set consists of a dual-layer configuration, combining heavy, floor-length sage green curtains with a lighter, translucent white inner layer. The design features a classic gathered header, providing natural, soft folds that drape vertically to the floor. The contrast between the opaque, textured green fabric and the crisp white sheer creates a balanced aesthetic suitable for layered window dressing. Each panel is modelled with realistic pleating to simulate the weight and movement of fabric, offering a clean, finished appearance for interior visualisations where depth and materiality are required.

The download is a 54.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, this model is managed as a component, allowing for easy adjustment of width and height to fit specific window openings. Users should place the asset on a dedicated layer to maintain scene organisation. Because the geometry includes fine pleats, ensure the model is positioned correctly relative to the wall surface to avoid clipping. Applying custom material textures to the fabric faces can further enhance the realism of light transmission through the white sheer layer during rendering processes.

These curtains are ideal for residential interiors, particularly master bedrooms, living areas, and dining rooms where light control and privacy are essential. They also function effectively in hospitality projects like hotel suites or boutique guest rooms. Designers often pair these with modern or transitional furniture styles to soften hard architectural lines.
