About this asset

This rustic 3ds Max model features a natural wood block stool with a white-upholstered top section and a grey fabric cushion. This sculptural piece functions as a versatile stool or side table, defined by its raw, organic aesthetic. The base consists of a solid, vertically-grained timber block with a weathered, natural finish that highlights the wood's inherent texture. The upper portion is finished in a clean, contrasting white upholstery, providing a crisp geometric boundary against the rustic wood. A small, square grey fabric cushion sits atop the stool, adding a layer of visual softness and tactile interest. The overall proportions are compact and square, making it a distinctive focal point in any interior space.

The download is a 20.2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into 3ds Max scenes, check the pivot point at the base for ease of placement on floor surfaces. The geometry is clean, allowing for straightforward material adjustments to the timber or fabric maps if needed. Utilize the standard object layers to manage the cushion and base as separate entities. Ensure the scale is verified against project-specific floor heights to maintain accurate spatial relationships within your interior renders, utilizing standard lighting setups to highlight the contrast between the wood and fabric textures.

This stool is ideal for adding warmth to contemporary or rustic-inspired interiors, functioning well as occasional seating or a unique side table. It pairs effectively with natural materials like linen curtains or stone flooring in living areas, bedrooms, or boutique hotel lobbies. Designers often search for textured wood stools, accent seating, or organic block furniture to introduce character into minimalist spaces. Its compact form makes it a practical solution for tight corners or as a decorative sculptural element in a well-curated room.
